Here at c21, we are all very food motivated. Despite some minor dietary restrictions, we all appreciate a delicious meal and enjoy going out around town to sample the cuisine from local Atlanta restaurants.
The following are some of our favorites off the tops of our heads. Feel free to visit our recommendations and tell us what you think!
Anis - Buckhead
French. A particularly casual and eclectic place for Buckhead. The trout and chocolate mousse are the best items (one following another...not together). They also have French and American wines for people who like wine with their meals. - Lily
Barcelona – Inman Park (and on the Westside)
Fun vibe, energetic bar with great people watching and yummy tapas - Sharon
Bone Garden - Blandtown
Mexican. They aren't exactly authentic (that isn't quite the aim), but they use crema and more cheeses than a general texmex place does. Also have horchata on tap, yucca, and plaintains, which are a plus. Churros on Tuesdays as well but sadly, I've never been on a Tuesday. - Lily
Brick Store Pub - Decatur
They have tasty pub food but my favorite part is their Belgian bar up on the second floor with Belgian beers on tap. - Jamie
Café Agora - Buckhead
I've only been to the Buckhead location. Has my favorite babaghanouj. I like to put it on my meat entrees, of which there are many because I go for the mixed grill plate which includes some of every meat on the menu. I can't make up my mind! - Lily
Canoe – Paces Ferry
Beautiful setting, great for brunch and it's a fun plan to sit outside by the river. - Sharon
Delbar – Inman Park
I've never had a bad meal at Delbar. The Chinjeh, Koobideh Kabob, lamb neck, Za'taar fries and Sabzi Polo are definitely noteworthy. - Jade
Ecco - Midtown
I prefer the Midtown location because it's more intimate, the food is always consistently amazing, including the fried goat cheese balls, the piquillo peppers and the pappardelle - all of which rock! - Sharon
Eclipse di Luna - Buckhead
FUN! - Sharon
Food Terminal – Various Atlanta locations
The menu is a magazine of deliciousness. You can find any type of Asian food that your heart desires - and now they have a location in West Midtown (and are opening more), so it's EVEN MORE convenient! – Frances
Same as Frances' thoughts but even more basic: I swear by the Grandma's barbecue pork (on rice), which is probably the most known staple on the menu, but it includes cucumbers, bok choy, and a fried egg! I am very passionate about this menu item! - Lily
Fred’s Meat and Bread – Old Fourth Ward
My walkable-to-work not-so-guilty pleasure. Favorites include the french fries, Korean cheesesteak and the burger. - Jamie
Ginya Izakaya – Various Atlanta locations
Small plates and entrees, so Japanese bar food/street food/sushi. They also have ramen, but I like everything else so much more that I never get it. - Lily
Gokul Vegetarian and Sweets – Johns Creek
Way out in John's Creek. I like their bakery and sweets counter for something new! The Julie is the item I like best that I can think of offhand... - Lily
Grindhouse Killer Burgers – Decatur (and various Atlanta locations)
Really good burgers in an open-air rooftop with incredible service. - Valerie
Hattie B’s – Little 5 Points
Who doesn't like hot and juicy fried chicken? If you like your chicken "Southern" (no heat) or "Shut the Cluck Up" (too damn hot if you ask me), you got to try Hattie B's! The waffles are great too! - Jade
Hawkers – Old Fourth Ward
Best on the Beltline - in my opinion. Hurry up and open back up! - Frances
Iberian Pig – Various Atlanta locations
What can I say, I love pork! With the tapas size servings, it's enough to get a taste and have room to try more foods! - Frances
La Tavola – Virginia Highland
Great martinis and pasta, period. - Sharon
Leon’s Full Service – Decatur
I've never had a meal that wasn't exceptional and the bar serves the most interesting drinks. - Valerie
OceanWave – Virginia Highland
Sushi and Frances (not our Frances) the bartender. He always has a smile - Sharon
Original El Taco – Virginia Highland
Nacho Thursdays! (You can't beat the price for a huge pile of nachos.) It's also kid friendly and has delicious frozen mojitos. - Jamie
Planet Bombay – Old Fourth Ward
Mixing it up with some South Asian flavor! One smell and you will want to eat everything on the menu. - Frances
Rumi’s Kitchen – Sandy Springs
Incredible Persian food and totally worth the drive to Sandy Springs. - Sharon
Savage Pizza – Little 5 Points
I love pizza! This is one of my go-to lunch spots that never misses the mark. The crust is thin but not too flimsy and slightly burnt but in a good way! - Jade
Shake Shack – Old Fourth Ward (and various Atlanta locations)
Basic but always on point, plus the food is served fresh unlike a lot of burger chains. If you like bacon and cheese, you must try the bacon cheese fries. *sips strawberry shake* - Jade
Spoon Eastside - Ormewood
The best Thai restaurant in this blog (just kidding). Carbs with a side of carbs never tasted better, but really it's tough choosing between rice and noodles. No judgment to the people who order both. (It's me...I'm people!) - Jade
Surin – Virginia Highland
Thai. If you're done with sushi at Oceanwave and are still hungry, walk on down to Surin. - Sharon
Sweet Auburn BBQ – Virginia Highland
Southern bbq and Asian fusion - you can't go wrong! I don't like seafood, but I love grits - someone finally realized you can put other food besides shrimp in grits! BBQ pork in grits! Pimento cheese fried wontons! Need I say more? - Frances
Talat Market – Summerhill
This is my good friend from high school's restaurant, which has been featured in magazines like Bon Appetit. His menu of Thai food changes with seasonal Georgia produce and it's absolutely delicious. - Jamie
Taqueria El Vecino – Oak Grove
Close to home great fresh Mexican. - Valerie
The Pig & The Pearl – Atlantic Station
The meat is so tender and savory! SO GOOD! After my first dining experience there, I once wrote a review declaring my intention to marry my meal because I loved it so much. - Frances
Top Spice – Toco Hills
Incredible Thai - Valerie
Wisteria – Inman Park
This is in my top 5. It's in the hood and the pork tenderloin is to DIE FOR! I love to sit at the bar and chat with people. - Sharon
Wrecking Bar – Little 5 Points
Close to c21 with a great selection of ever-changing craft beer. I love to order a bunch of appetizers and a beer flight for an appetizer feast. - Jamie
