Lauren Fitzgerald is a digital marketing enthusiast and a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. A self-proclaimed multitasker, she double majored in advertising and Asian literature with an emphasis in Japanese, while also earning a certificate in new media. When she wasn’t busy studying, Lauren managed ads for The Red & Black, hung out at the college radio station, and proudly barked at Georgia Tech students on game days.

Before c21, Lauren interned abroad at an Esports company in Seoul and left with a full-blown addiction to K-pop. Since returning to Atlanta, Lauren continued working on global projects as a Marketing Operations Intern at The Coca-Cola Company. Most recently, she served as a Community Management Intern at Get Engaged Media, where she further sharpened her social media skills.

After interning in positions across the marketing industry, she is confidently pursuing digital marketing with a special interest in social media strategy and search engine optimization. She looks forward to expanding these skills during her internship at communications 21.

Outside of the office, Lauren brings stories to life through cosplay photography, directing photoshoots featuring anything from princesses to pirates. When she’s not behind the camera, she explores Atlanta’s café scene in search of the perfect iced matcha latte.

Eager to apply her academic public relations knowledge to real-world situations, Sydney is kicking off her career journey at c21 as she continues to learn and expand her professional network.

Prior to joining c21, Sydney spent two years in college working as a social media manager and content creator. Most recently, she has worked as a petite model with a local Atlanta agency and continues to model in her free time.

Sydney recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Communication and Media Studies. In her free time, Sydney gravitates toward opportunities to learn new artistic skills. She can often be found listening to 50s music, indulging in vegan cuisine or whipping up watercolor cards for her friends and family.

Meghan Stoneburner has a passion for all things marketing, but her first love has always been stringing words together to create compelling content. A versatile marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience, Meghan brings a combination of strategic thinking, creativity and hands-on execution to every project. Her expertise spans content strategy, social media, long-form writing, video production and editing, graphic design, event marketing, media relations, website development and digital marketing. Meghan began her college career at Florida State University, where she studied creative writing. She later stepped away from school to raise her two daughters before returning to Kennesaw State University, where she earned a degree in Marketing with a minor in English.

She began her professional career at one of Atlanta’s leading digital marketing agencies, working with prominent clients including the Georgia Aquarium, Kaiser Permanente, Club Car and the Georgia Lottery. She later joined an Atlanta advertising agency, where she developed and managed social media strategies for clients across a variety of industries. Before joining communications 21, Meghan spent five years as marketing director for a nationwide residential architectural company, helping elevate the organization from an established industry participant to a recognized industry leader.

Since joining c21, Meghan has worked with clients including the Greater Women’s Business Council, Isenberg & Hewitt, The Gathering at South Forsyth, Marsy’s Law for Georgia and several community improvement districts throughout metro Atlanta. She helps clients transform complex ideas into clear, engaging stories that connect with their audiences and support broader business goals.

Outside of work, Meghan is an avid reader and organizer of The Recently Read Society, a book club where members share and discuss whatever they have been reading rather than following a required monthly selection. A former podcast host, she still enjoys the creativity and connection that comes from thoughtful conversations and storytelling. Meghan and her husband also run an eBay store featuring unique, vintage and thrifted finds. She volunteers with animal sanctuaries and Food Well Alliance and is continually working, very slowly on her first novel.

Carter Brown, a.k.a Carti B, is a seasoned vet in providing marketing strategy and communications support to clients in a range of industries. Before his role as director, Carter began his journey with c21 as volunteer coordinator for the Atlanta Jazz Festival in 2017, followed by an internship with c21 in the summer of 2018. After finishing school later that fall, he started full-time as an account manager and quickly advanced to senior account manager. He then took a detour from agency life where he served as the in-house director of digital marketing at a local sports performance company, leading the company’s social media, digital and brand marketing strategies, as well as product and brand copywriting.

Carter attended Auburn University (War Eagle!) in Auburn, Alabama, where he graduated with a B.A. in Public Relations. During his time on the plains, he kept himself busy through on-campus activities, including serving on the public relations committee of the school’s student programming board. His senior year, he interviewed for and was selected as the organization’s first vice president of marketing. His heart for extracurriculars extends past his academic career, as he now serves as the social media coordinator for Golf for the Kids, a local nonprofit organization benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Outside of the office, there’s a good chance you can find Carter doing something active, like walking on the BeltLine with friends or crushing a CrossFit workout. In fact, he finished 19,429th in the worldwide 2024 CrossFit Open – he’s basically a professional (narrator: absolutely not). He’s also a huge Swiftie. How huge? According to Spotify, he was in Taylor’s top 0.01% listeners and racked up 58,166 minutes of streaming in 2023. If Carter is one thing, it’s dedicated.

Frances Chang is a marketing, public relations, digital and graphics master. Her eclectic marketing history stems from puppetry, which branched out to pro wrestling, then blossomed to the circus, but got some groundwork in the kitchen and bath industry, then went out on a limb at a movie prop house to now setting up roots with communications 21. Her unique point of view has led to successful campaigns such as Drag Queen Story Time at Posman Books at Ponce City Market and Star Wars: A Farce Awakens, Highwire Comedy’s first sketch revue.

Frances graduated from Furman University (FU all the time!) with a business administration degree. She moved to Atlanta, just in time for the Summer Olympics, to begin her graphic design career. After nine years in the licensed apparel industry, she realized that she had bigger ideas that went beyond planting a logo on loungewear, so she made a switch and barked up a new tree by reaching out to the Center for Puppetry Arts. As their marketing intern, she soaked up knowledge on email marketing, social media, copywriting and event planning. Nine years later, Frances sprouted into the marketing leader she is now.

Because her body rebelled against her addiction to competitive volleyball, Frances now spends her spare time pursuing less rigorous activities like working backstage at Dad’s Garage (this was in the “before-times” pre-pandemic), writing sketch comedy and producing short videos with Critical Crop Top. Frances has also been volunteering at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston since 2015, holding babies in the NICU.

Frances is certified in Google Analytics and was recently awarded the 2020 Best Local Film honor at the Cobb International Film Festival for her short film, Baggage Check, and recently had three projects accepted and up for awards at the Portland Comedy Film Festival.

Jamie Donaldson provides strategic integrated communications support, including public relations, social media solutions and online marketing to clients in a variety of industries from nonprofit to technology. Before landing the role of vice president at c21, Jamie was a director, senior account manager and an account manager at c21. An expert in digital communication, her work at c21 has won awards from the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America. She is also a graduate of Leadership Buckhead’s class of 2022.

Previously, Jamie was a digital media intern at Georgia Aquarium, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring aquatic awareness and conservation. There she managed the Aquarium’s social media pages, wrote blog posts, updated the website and tracked digital campaigns. Jamie also independently managed the online presence and blogger outreach initiatives for children’s animated book app startup Mighty Yeti Studios.

Jamie has a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication from The University of Georgia where she focused her studies on children’s media and public broadcasting. Before that, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a major in telecommunication arts and a minor in anthropology from The University of Georgia.

Outside of the office, Jamie is a mom to both two humans and a dog, is a travel-lover and a bit of a geek. She has a new record collection and too many shades of nail polish to count. In her ever-fleeting “free time” she enjoys taking pictures, reading, binge watching TV shows, playing video games and listening to Canadian alternative music. Jamie is always up to try new restaurants, hang out at a concert or explore local sites with and without her kids. She is also a former musical theatre kid and a Georgia Redcoat Marching Band alumna.

Sharon L. Goldmacher is a veteran in the marketing and public relations industry, beginning her career in Atlanta in 1987. She develops integrated, results-focused marketing, PR and digital campaigns for clients in real estate, community improvement districts, food/beverage, professional services, sports, nonprofits and technology.

Competitive by nature, she created communications 21 in 1992, at the naïve age of 28, to see if she could do it. Within the first two years, she won the DeKalb Chamber’s Stargazer award for “Small Business Start-Up of the Year” and the Young Advertising Professional Award presented by the Atlanta Ad Club. In 2013, she won Business to Business Magazine’s Woman of Excellence award. Over the next 25 years, the company has garnered 80 awards for its award-winning campaigns.

While often accused of telling long stories, Sharon enjoys presenting and has spoken on marketing, PR and digital strategies and tactics to various organizations such as the Association of Public Gardens, the American Marketing Association’s Annual Summit, the Exhibit Design and Producers Association, NewComm (Society for New Communications Research conference), MBA Conclave Curriculum and Teaching Conference, PRSA chapters in Washington, D.C., and Florida and more.

Corporate responsibility is part of c21’s company culture, and Sharon volunteers on a number of industry and community boards, including the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, the past presidents’ council of the American Marketing Association – Atlanta Chapter, the Hospitality Business Network Foundation and The Blue Horse Association. In addition, she volunteered for Georgia Support The Vote, a nonpartisan organization focused on helping businesses to inform, encourage and enable their employees to vote. She is a graduate of Leadership Buckhead, and served on the board for several years, in addition to holding volunteer positions with the Green Chamber of the South, Literacy Volunteers of America and Hands On Atlanta. Sharon also served as the executive director of the Atlanta Local Organizing Committee for the planning and execution of the 2013 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® held in Atlanta.

Sharon attended college in “The Big Easy” (a.k.a. New Orleans), graduating cum laude from Newcomb College/Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and communications (and almost a dance minor). During school, she worked at the NBC affiliate, WDSU-TV, which convinced her to choose a different career path.

While a love-hate relationship, golf is a passion, and her favorite golf saying is “fairway-play is for sissies.” In the past few years, she’s taken up cycling, and can be found on the Silver Comet Trail or huffing and puffing around the hills in her neighborhood!
