Canyon Nguyen recently graduated from Georgia State University (GSU) with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a focus in Public Relations. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Canyon is passionate about storytelling and connecting with others through digital communication. During his time at GSU, Canyon honed his skills through coursework and internships in communications and social media, working on diverse projects.
Canyon previously interned as a communications intern at the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and as a social media intern for Glitter Magazine, gaining valuable experience in content creation and social media management. He is certified in social media strategies through HubSpot and Hootsuite and holds a LinkedIn certification in public relations techniques. With a minor in the Korean language, Canyon has earned a professional work certification and plans to study abroad in South Korea to further enhance his language proficiency.
Post-internship, Canyon aims to pursue a career in PR or marketing in the entertainment industry – ideally for an up-and-coming celebrity or pop star – while staying true to his passion for social media and content creation. Canyon looks forward to learning from the c21 team and developing his skills further.
In his downtime, Canyon enjoys discovering new music, playing video games with his friends (and strangers) and online shopping for just about anything. He also loves doomscrolling on TikTok for hours and creating Pinterest boards with outfit inspirations.
