c21 Relieves Meggitt Training Systems from
The Training Trenches

Training TrenchesWhen FATS and Caswell, two giants in the international law enforcement and military training arena, merged to form Meggitt Training Systems (MTS), the new company needed a way to brand itself to its employees, its global customer base and the training industry as a whole.  c21 managed the redesign of its existing newsletter, which served as the launching pad for the company’s new look and focus.

Working with MTS for more than 18 months gave c21 an understanding of MTS’ audience and insight into the best way to convey the company’s messages to its worldwide audience.  We worked with MTS executives to understand their vision of the newsletter and then held brainstorming sessions to develop ideas for the newsletter’s name and its overall look and feel.  MTS executives chose “The Training Trenches” as the newsletter’s name from c21’s ideas.  They also agreed with our recommendation that it should convey MTS’ commitment to providing training solutions as well as the company’s dedication to urgent action and customer service.

After developing the “big idea,” c21 oversaw the entire design process from initial concepts to final product and worked with Raise Studio to ensure the design met the company’s expectations at every step in the process.

In addition, c21 managed the translation and printing of the newsletter in six languages, including Arabic, and created and distributed an e-version, giving MTS a one-two punch of measurable results.

According to MTS, the newsletter was a success.  “We gave c21 this project because we knew they would be successful, but the quality they delivered has gone above and beyond our expectations,” said Vince Greiner, marketing manager for MTS.  “This newsletter absolutely encompasses the new focus on Meggitt Training Systems.”
