Client Spotlight: Sabina Carr, Atlanta Botanical Garden
You might say Sabina Carr has a green thumb when it comes to marketing. As the director of marketing and communications for the Atlanta Botanical Garden since 2002, Sabina has built the Garden's brand, positioning it as a premier destination in the Southeast. In 2004, the Garden's leadership team began their commitment to bring spectacular art exhibitions to Atlanta with the remarkable Chihuly exhibit. Since then, Sabina and the team have continued to bring similarly astonishing exhibitions to the city, from the sculptures of Niki de Saint Phalle to the kid's favorite Big Bugs & Killer Plants to last year's fascinating Sculpture in Motion.
For the past year, Sabina has worked with c21 to lay the groundwork for promoting the Moore in America exhibit, currently at the Garden through October. The exhibit features the massive bronze sculptures of British artist Henry Moore. Click here for more information.
When she's not helping to secure blockbuster exhibitions for the city, Sabina strives to exceed her already astounding accomplishments of doubling both Garden visitation and membership. She is responsible for creating the popular summertime Cocktails in the Garden events, which invite Atlantans to enjoy the Garden at night while sipping fabulous cocktails and noshing appetizers from the city's best restaurants - you're likely to see c21ers enjoying this event, and many others!
A native New Yorker, Sabina spends her time away from the Garden with her twin four-year-old girls and her husband. She's a graduate of Southern Methodist University and, prior to becoming the Garden's marketing guru, Sabina held key positions at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, American Express Publishing, Condè Nast and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Worldwide.
